The National Institute for Experimental Arts (NIEA) and its researchers have been awarded an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Grant for their project Curating Cities: the social and ecological potential of public art practice. It is one of only three grants awarded nationally in the Creative Arts and Writing category, which includes the fields of Art Theory and Criticism, Film, Television and  Digital Media, Journalism  and Professional Writing.
