The experimental arts workshop developed in collaboration with the Leonardo Education and Arts Forum (a working group of Leonardo ® /ISAST) and NIEA, identified quintessential characteristics that constitute experimental art and explore how these characteristics can be delivered through art education nationally and internationally. The workshop engaged teachers, curators, artists, arts administrators in defining what might constitute an experimental artist.
The four workshop leaders set the stage with short presentations to stimulate discussion - a summary of its key findings have been modelled to contribute to a course outline for university students.
